During training, a person must ensure that they remain focused never to lose sight of the objective. These systems were developed in order to assist in preparing the mind for combat. When this is not achieved, no matter how experienced one may be, they will not have enough chances to be successful when there is a battle. Therefore, discipline in this case is essential.

It is always important to regain personal initiative. A person may have the right kind of stamina for combat, powerful punches and the aggression needed but they may lack the calmness that is needed in order to succeed in sparring. Without this, it is difficult for a person to win a combat. An unsettled mind often clutters hence weakening stance. One should always remember to remain calm and focused.
